You Can’t Have Enough of the Dominion Card Game

Dominion Card GameThe Dominion Card Game was created by Donald X. Vaccarino. Its genre is a deck-building card game that is very similar to collectible card games. In the Dominion Card Game, there is a little added twist for the players unlike with the original board game. Here, there are a lot of strategies and techniques to ponder on. It depends on how a player thinks and the way he or she wants to use cards. On the beginning of the game, all players will all have 10 cards on their side with the same components. The cards on their side will consist of seven copper pieces and three victory points. Then, there are five cards on each of their hands that they can use to make a turn. A turn means having an opportunity to use one action and buy a card. Acquiring new cards gives a player an advantage depending on the new abilities that a card would have. Also, it can boost one’s chance of winning by having additional victory points. Having a deck to use does not stop a player from gaining advantage. One could mix and match cards from the different expansion sets released by the publishers. The available four expansions are intrigue, seaside, prosperity, and alchemy. All of them are very interesting in way that will let your mind think critically.

A big part of having a good deck in this game is to choose a good strategy that starts from building a deck itself. So, what is a good start for deck building? Based from a logical perspective, trashing the bad cards that are not needed is a wise decision. This kind of guide is called Deck Thinning. It means that a deck is compressed to cards which are only needed that results to maximum manipulation in the game. In Deck Thinning, the choice of reducing the size of the deck is further subdivided into four. These are named as chapel, moneylender, remodel, and mine. The first one, which is called chapel, is the most powerful strategy in the deck thinning category. It is for the reason that it allows you to trash four cards with just one action in a turn. So, for serious players out there, this kind of thinning is the best that speeds up one’s capability of reducing the deck. The second one is moneylender. Here, it allows a player to trash a single copper from his or her deck giving additional money. The money received can be as powerful as the buying capability of Silver. It means that with the huge buying power, a player can buy more powerful cards easily. If done right, this strategy can become a killing blow in winning the game. The other two are just basic conceptual techniques that can be pretty obvious for players. It is just like playing a powerful card and abiding with its rules. In the end, it will all depend on how right or wrong a player will move within each turn in the game.
